Free summer concert with country from Kitty Mae at Des Moines Beach Park

The Des Moines Arts Commission will bring six weeks of free live music to Des Moines Beach Park this summer with its 2026 Summer Concert Series, beginning Wednesday night, July 15.
Concerts will be held Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Des Moines Beach Park, 22030 Cliff Ave. S. (map below).
Each concert will feature live entertainment, along with food trucks and a beer garden.
- Opens Wednesday, July 15 with Spike and the Impalers, a Northwest cover band that has performed for 25 years.
- Wednesday, July 22: Kitty Mae, country cover band.
- Wednesday, July 29: Nite Wave, featuring 1980s new wave music.
- Wednesday, Aug. 5: ABBAgraphs, an ABBA tribute band.
- Wednesday, Aug. 12: Stevie and the Blue Flames, harmonica blues.
- Wednesday, Aug. 19: Power of Love, a Huey Lewis tribute band.
According to the Des Moines Arts Commission, the annual series offers a variety of musical styles, ranging from country and blues to classic pop and rock tribute performances.
All concerts are FREE to attend.
