Meet final 4 candidates at ‘Meet & Greet’ for Des Moines City Manager

The City of Des Moines invites all community members to a ‘Meet & Greet’ on Tuesday, Aug. 27, to meet the final four candidates vying for the position of City Manager.

The event will be held at the Beach Park Auditorium, located at 22030 Cliff Ave South (map below), and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

“We inuite all community members to attend an informative session where you can meet the final four candidates for the City Manager position in Des Moines,” the city said. “This is a great opportunity to learn about their vision for our city and ask questions. Your input is important as we work together to shape the future of Des Moines!”

The city did not reveal names or background info on any of the finalists.

The forum provides a unique opportunity for residents to engage directly with the candidates, learn about their visions for the future of Des Moines, and ask questions. The candidates are scheduled to speak at 6:45 p.m., sharing their perspectives on city management and addressing community concerns.

Prior to the public session, members of the Citizen Advisory Committee will gather at 5:45 p.m. to discuss the selection process.

City officials encourage the public to attend, emphasizing the importance of community input in selecting the next City Manager. The City Manager plays a critical role in shaping the policies and initiatives that will guide Des Moines in the coming years.
