Public Meeting on expansion of Sea-Tac Airport at Mt. Rainier High School
November 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Four public meetings to learn more about the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) published National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s (SEA) Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) Near-term Projects (NTPs) are scheduled for this week.
All residents are encouraged to attend any of the meetings to learn more about the FAA’s published NEPA draft EA and talk to subject matter experts and find out how to make an official comment.
The public comment period for the draft EA is currently open. The Port’s federal partners at the FAA have extended the Agency and Public comment period to December 13, 2024.
The same information will be presented at all meetings in an open house format. Oral and written comments may be provided onsite at the public meetings. Comments may also be submitted electronically to SAMP@portseattle.org or on the project website. Comments must be received by Dec. 13, 2024. All comments received will be responded to in the final EA.
Comments should be as specific as possible and address the analysis of potential environmental impacts and the adequacy for the Proposed Action or merits of its alternatives and the mitigation being considered. Before including your name, address and telephone number, email, or other personal identifying information in your comment, be advised that your entire comment — including your personal identifying information — may be made publicly available at any time. While you can ask us in your comment to withhold from public review your personal identifying information, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
The Port is committed to making this process as accessible as possible. If audio, visual, or language assistance are required, please leave a message at 206-339-0213.
