Des Moines Police officers detained a suspect on Monday, July 15, 2024, following a brief foot pursuit after an attempted theft in the 23000 block of Pacific Highway South (map below).
Officers initially approached the suspect for suspicion of theft when the individual ditched the products and attempted to flee on foot.
Police said that the suspect jumped a fence, leading officers on a short foot chase before being apprehended.
The suspect had multiple felony warrants out of King County and was booked into jail.
