Voters will have an opportunity to hear directly from local candidates during a public forum hosted by the Seattle-King County League of Women Voters on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. at Wesley Gardens.
The event, organized in partnership with the American Association of University Women and Wesley Des Moines, will take place in the Community Room/Chapel at 815 S. 216th Street (map below).
According to the League, candidates for four seats on the Des Moines City Council and one seat representing the 33rd District in the Washington State Legislature have been invited to participate.
The program will include a question-and-answer session where attendees can ask the candidates about their positions on local issues ahead of the Nov. 4 general election.
