Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash on Friday, May 23, on Des Moines Memorial Drive as Alonzo Curtis Crawford, 67, of Des Moines.
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Crawford died from multiple blunt force injuries following a collision that occurred near the intersection of Des Moines Memorial Drive and South 212th Street.
His death has been ruled an accident.
As we previously reported, the crash led to a full closure of Des Moines Memorial Drive between South 208th and South 216th streets while emergency responders and investigators processed the scene.
The Des Moines Police Department is handling the investigation. No other details about the circumstances of the crash have been released.
