The Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park will welcome new Des Moines City Manager Katherine Caffrey as the guest speaker at its Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 meeting.
The meeting will be held Dec. 18 at Noon at Marina Mercantile (22341 Marine View Drive S.; map below). Visitors are invited to attend. Lunch items are available for purchase.
Caffrey was sworn in as City Manager on Nov. 4. She brings almost 20 years of local government experience to Des Moines, including municipal operations, community engagement, fiscal and strategic planning, and redevelopment. Caffrey spent the last 17 years with the City of Cedar Park, Texas and held various positions including deputy city manager. Prior to Cedar Park, she began her career with the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
As the chief executive officer for the City of Des Moines, Caffrey is responsible for the management of the City’s affairs and day-to-day operations.
