Residents and visitors are reminded that International Sculpture Day will be celebrated this Saturday, April 25, with an updated map highlighting public art across Des Moines and the Redondo area.

This free event will run from 1–4 p.m. in Des Moines.

According to the Des Moines Arts Committee, the newly updated map identifies sculptures and murals along with their locations throughout the city and waterfront areas.

Printed maps will be available at selected businesses around town, with a list of locations expected to be announced soon.

A QR code is also being developed to allow people to download the map directly to their devices.

The updated map was created by the Citizens Advisory Board Arts Committee and is designed to help the public explore Des Moines’ collection of sculptures and murals during the event.
