SR 99 will reduce to one lane in each direction between SR 516 in Des Moines and South 216th Street in SeaTac for two consecutive nights starting Wednesday, Jan. 21, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced.
From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Wednesday, Jan. 21, to Friday morning, Jan. 23, WSDOT contractor crews will close two lanes in each direction to remove temporary signals used to control traffic during construction.
At least one lane will remain open in each direction, but delays are possible through the work zone.
These closures are part of a project that repaved 2 miles of SR 99 and upgraded more than 30 sidewalk ramps to modern Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Construction is nearly complete, but intermittent overnight lane closures are possible over the next several weeks as crews finalize this work.
