On Friday night, Dec. 1, 2023, dozens of people braved some serious rain squalls and wind to witness Destination Des Moines‘ annual Holiday Tree Lighting event with Santa at Big Catch Plaza.
Local dignitaries and workers came out to celebrate with numerous residents, families with kids, and kids of all ages to celebrate the season.
