On Saturday (Sept. 19), Zombies of all ages, shapes and sizes descended on the Normandy Park Towne Center for the 4th annual ‘Zombiefest,’ a day of fun, fundraising and awareness for emergency and disaster preparedness.
It served as a fundraiser for the Highline Area Food Bank, Des Moines Food Bank, Highline Schools Foundation Excel Grant Program, along with the Friends of Normandy Park Foundation (501c3).
Fun activities included emergency & community vehicle displays, live music, food, beverages, business and educational booths, arts & crafts for children, FREE pumpkin patch, FREE scavenger hunt for children, a performance by the Seattle Thrillers (video below), Zombie Zumbathon, Zombie costume contest, Get Zombified booth, raffles and a Zombie marching band!
Congrats to all Organizers (especially Susan West), Artists, Volunteers and of course – all the amazing ZOMBIES!
