Participants can make herbal salves, tinctures and infused oils while supporting ocean wildlife at “Potions for the Ocean,” a fundraiser for SeaLife Response, Rehab and Research (SR3) set for Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Des Moines Theater.
The workshop runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at the theater (map below).
Admission is $100, with all proceeds benefiting SR3.
Kristyn Cook, founder of Sacred Oak Apothecary, will lead the session, introducing participants to herbs and discussing when and how to use herbal remedies.
Supplies are included. Participants will take home a salve, a tincture, an infused oil of their choice, and extra ingredients and instructions.
