From Real Estate Sponsor Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest: Like many small towns in Western Washington, Riverton came into itself in 1903 when the Riverton Draw Bridge was built over the Duwamish River. Originally built to accommodate pedestrians and horse drawn carriages, it was later converted to cars. Allowing for easy access to and fro to the big city. Riverton is home to many cottage style homes built at the start of the second world war and needed to accommodate the influx of people relocating to this area. This is when Riverton experienced its largest period of growth. But like most neighborhoods, it has grown and changed through the decades. But it’s done its job well and has managed to maintain its charm and sense of neighborhood – all while welcoming new generations into its community. You can see this alive and well in this cute little cottage we are featuring this week, located at 13741 34th Ave S, Tukwila 98168 (map below). Showing off the most charming aspects of our historic cottages, this cute as a button home has been completely updated, renovated and shined like a bright new penny. Come and enjoy the best of historic Riverton in the ease and convenience of a newly redone home.
