The annual Waterland Parade is set to take place on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 4:30 – 7 p.m., causing temporary road closures in downtown Des Moines.
Please note that staging for the Waterland Parade will be at Des Moines Elementary School located on the corner of 240th and 16th Ave S.
The Parade route will run from Des Moines Elementary School to Marine View Drive, through downtown Des Moines and proceed to Marine View Drive, ending at South 219th Street.
Additionally, 242nd from 16th Ave South to Marine View Drive may also be impacted.
Local residents should be aware that accessing properties along the parade route may be temporarily restricted during the event.
