The rival teams preparing to face off in the first-ever Roswell vs Washington UFO Debate on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025 will appear together on Coast to Coast AM with host Connie Willis this Saturday night, Sept. 27,.
The special four-hour broadcast – set for 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. EDT (7–11 p.m. PDT) – previews the Oct. 10 debate in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, where Roswell and Washington will go head-to-head over the contested UFO legacies of 1947.
About the Debate:
The Roswell vs Washington Debate will take place Oct. 10, at Truth or Consequences Brewing Company, in Truth or Consequences, NM.
According to the Joint Statement issued by the organizers, the debate’s purpose:
“To jointly and publicly address long-standing questions and controversies relating to the history, mythology, and legacy of the 1947 Summer of the Saucers.”
Central to the debate are the stories of three iconic 1947 UFO events:
- The Roswell crash (New Mexico)
- Kenneth Arnold’s Mt. Rainier sighting (Washington), birthplace of the “flying saucer“
- The Maury Island Incident (Washington), birthplace of the “Men in Black” legend
The stakes? Organizers playfully reference the host city’s name:
“The winner will know the truth. The loser, consequences.”
NEW: Debate Will Be Live-Streamed
South King Media plans on live-streaming this UFO Debate on Friday, Oct. 10, direct from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
Coverage is set to begin at 6 p.m. PDT (7 p.m. MDT), with viewers able to watch the debate in real time on both YouTube and various Facebook pages, including The Waterland Blog and others to be announced soon.
