Volunteers and divers are being sought for a cleanup in Des Moines this Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in recognition of International Coastal Cleanup Day.
The event will take place at the Des Moines Marina and Beach.
Advance registration is required.
Shore volunteers will pick up trash and sort debris, while divers will help with the underwater cleanup.
The marina’s announcement calls for divers with an AOW+ qualification.
