Des Moines Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide investigation following a residential fire in the 1400 block of South 216th Street on Feb. 1, 2026, according to the Des Moines Police Department.
During the investigation, 45-year-old Bradley Sanders was found deceased inside the home. Detectives later determined Sanders had suffered multiple stab wounds.
On Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, with assistance from the Kent and Seattle Police Departments, an adult male suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked into the King County Jail for probable cause for murder and arson.
The identity of the suspect is not being released at this time pending formal charging by the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
