The 5-Step Estate Planning Process at DAL Law Firm
At DAL Law Firm, we prioritize comprehensive estate planning to safeguard your assets and provide for your loved ones. To streamline this process, we’ve designed a five-step approach to guide you through the creation of your estate plan and to help make the estate planning process as easy as possible:
Step 1: Consultation
Begin by contacting our office at (206) 408-8158 to schedule a 30-minute phone, Zoom, or in person consultation with attorney Darcel Lobo. During this session, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your estate planning objectives, address any inquiries or concerns you may have, and receive a flat price quote for our assistance tailored to your needs.
Step 2: Document Preparation
Once our office has been hired, we’ll begin preparing your estate planning documents. You can generally expect to receive your draft documents to review within three weeks.
Step 3: Client Review
Upon completion, we’ll provide you with your draft documents for review. You can choose to examine them electronically or receive a physical copy by mail. Once you’ve reviewed and approved the documents, we’ll schedule a signing appointment at our office.
Step 4: Client Signing
At the signing appointment, typically lasting 10-15 minutes, you’ll sign your estate plan at our office, conveniently located in Normandy Park. We provide the witnesses and notary necessary for the signing. Following this, we’ll present you with an estate planning binder containing all necessary documents and instructions for your loved ones. Additionally, you’ll have the option to complete forms in the binder with useful information for your family.
Step 5: Document Delivery
Within one week of the signing appointment, your binder will be ready for pickup at our office or can be conveniently mailed to you. The original documents will be provided in the binder, while we retain copies for our records. Ensure the binder is stored securely in a location accessible to your Trustee, Personal Representative, or Power of Attorney.
Darcel’s goal is to facilitate a smooth and stress-free estate planning process for you and your family. If you’re ready to embark on this journey or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact DAL Law Firm at (206) 408-8158.
