Stolen vehicle pursuit from Des Moines ends in Tukwila arrest

A woman was arrested Monday morning, Aug. 25, 2025 after Tukwila Police assisted Des Moines officers in stopping a stolen vehicle pursuit that ended at a gas station on Southcenter Boulevard.

The incident began when Des Moines Police were pursuing a stolen vehicle that entered Tukwila, according to a statement from Tukwila Police.

Tukwila officers deployed spike strips, and Des Moines officers used a PIT maneuver to disable the vehicle, which came to rest at the Arco AM/PM on Southcenter Boulevard.

Police said no injuries were reported in the collision.

The driver, described by police as an adult female, was taken into custody.
