The Des Moines City Council videotaped a ‘Congratulation Video’ to the Class of 2020, which was posted on Facebook by the city on Thursday, June 4, 2020.
Councilmembers Matt Mahoney, Anthony Martinelli, Luisa Bangs, Jeremy Nutting, JC Harris, Traci Buxton and Mayor Matt Pina all spoke remotely from their homes via Zoom teleconference.
“Please don’t let the difficulty of this time overshadow what is going to be a very bright future for you,” Mayor Matt Pina said. “We wish you all the best going forward.”
