From our friends at WABI Burien:
DES MOINES: Did you know there is a magical place nearby where you can see all three peaks – Rainier, Olympics, Cascades?
On the map, it’s the North Hill neighborhood in Des Moines, but we prefer the more poetic “3Peak”. Check out the views with the WABI Weekday Walkers, Wednesday, August 21, at 9 am. There are some steep streets, but as with all WABI walks, take it at your own pace.
Date: Wednesday, August 21, 2019 (always the third Weds. of the month)
Time: Please arrive 5- 10 minutes early so we can leave promptly at 9:00 am.
Meeting Place: Meet at the parking lot by Resurrection Lutheran Church. 134 S. 206th Street (the lot along S. 206th, not the one in front of the church entrance). As you head north or south on 1st Ave. South, look carefully for S. 206th Street on the eastern side of 1st Ave South. The parking lot is just east of 1st Ave. South on the north side of 206th Street. Plenty of street parking.
