You sure can tell the season is winding down – the farmers are running low on fresh fruits and veggies, the berries have pretty much run their course but, the pumpkin and gourds are plentiful. We will still be open every Saturday thru the month of October, with the Chili Cook-Off happen’n on the 25th. The wine sale is still going on and you can purchase a bottle of wine and reach in the pot and draw out an instant door prize. Prizes include logo wear, a framed market poster, coffee mugs, water bottles and more. All proceeds go to the Market Foundation. The Des Moines Legacy Foundation note card booth (next to the market info booth) now has Carmen’s Christmas cards displayed. Stop by and contribute to a good cause by stocking up on cards. Don’t forget the Senior Services Hyde Shuttle is available again this Saturday and on the 25th for the Chili Cook-Off.
