Waterland Pride Weekend will be June 22-23, with a ParkRun, Farmers Market and Festival:
Saturday June 22:
- 9 a.m.: Waterland Pride at ParkRun: Free 5k Run/walk/sashay for the whole family! Join Des Moines Waterland Pride, DM Park Run, and Men In Black Birthday Bash for a free 5k. No experience or even running is required. No need to register in advance. Join the fun then walk over to the Farmer’s Market.
- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Waterland Pride at Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market: Come by the Waterland Pride booth at the Des Moines Waterfront Farmer’s Market. Queer trivia questions, prizes, and learn more about our 2024 Family Fest.
Sunday June 23:
- 10-11 a.m.: Waterland Pride Worship at Des Moines United Methodist Church
- 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Des Moines’ own 2024 Waterland Pride Family Fest, with

- Drag Performances
- Award-winning Rolling Smoke BBQ & CO
- Free face painting
