Get to know a local Agent: Stuart Steadman

When asked about a human interest story, I have to admit I had a hard time coming up with what to write about myself. But, here it goes: The Burien area has been my home for 19 years now. I grew up in Lake Stevens, and graduated from the University of Washington. My wife, Kathy, and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this year, and we have two sons, ages 7 and 9. I became a Realtor in 1999 after doing fundraising for a living. My history in fundraising has instilled in me the importance of giving back, and I am proud to support local causes such as Project Now for Highline schools, the Hear See Hope Foundation, of which I’m a board member, and St. Francis School and Parish. My favorite pastime is enjoying old cars. My family and I are members at Lemay Car Museum, but we also love reading and watching shows about all cars. One of my favorite local events is the Father’s Day Car Show here in Burien. My love of old cars has been passed to my kids, who love riding around town with their Dad in our old convertible. My family and I also enjoy spending time on the water, boating, kayaking, and swimming. We are looking forward to enjoying many days on the sound this summer, and with friends on Lake Burien. We are so lucky to live in a place with so much to offer!
