Seattle Southside’s Holiday “To-Don’t” List

[caption id="attachment_134809" align="aligncenter" width="500"] mauricephoto.com[/caption] The Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority (RTA) has created a travel/gift guide to help you plan your holiday shopping and travelling. The Holiday To-Don’t List is a digital gift guide and winter vacation planner for visitors and locals alike.  The “to-don’t” list is a tongue-in-cheek guide to help you maintain your sanity during holiday travel. Some of the to-don’ts include:
“Don’t miss out on family fun. Save the tantrum for losing at monopoly,”
and
“Don’t get hangry. You’re going to need the knife and fork for pumpkin pie.”
The guide is also full of Seattle Southside winter itineraries, a holiday event calendar, and a gift guide featuring unique items from Seattle Southside’s boutique shops, world-class restaurants, and popular attractions.  Staycation packages are a great way for locals to unwind during the chaos of the holiday season. While the kids are on a break from school, it’s a good time to seek a little R&R in a hotel (especially if that hotel has an indoor pool!) before the stress of family dinners, winter travel, and frequent shopping trips. During your stay, you should stop by Santa’s Landing Party at The Museum of Flight or head down to Redondo to watch the Argosy Christmas Ships light up the Sound.  Flying out from Sea-Tac for the holidays? Take advantage of several Park, Stay, & Fly packages to minimize the hassle of travel before departure. Shuttle transportation to and from the airport and the cost of parking are typically included in an overnight stay at a hotel near the airport. By staying in Seattle Southside, the day before your trip, holiday shopping can be wrapped up, the kids can release some steam, parents can relax, and the whole family can enjoy a hot meal at one of the world-class restaurants in Seattle’s backyard.  Lastly, the guide features several customized itineraries for the winter months. The “Family Fun” itinerary will take you high-speed go-karting at SyKart and bowling at Round 1. The “Treat Yourself” itinerary will guide you through a relaxing getaway including The Spa at Cedarbrook Lodge and a beachfront dinner at Salty’s at Redondo. The Seattle Southside holiday travel guide can be downloaded for free here.
