Three suspects were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, after a vehicle stolen in an early morning armed carjacking in Renton was located by Des Moines Police and crashed during a short pursuit that ended in Kent, according to the Des Moines Police Department.
Police said officers received an alert from the Flock license plate reader system that the stolen vehicle was driving through Des Moines.
Officers quickly located the car in the 22000 block of Pacific Highway South and began a brief pursuit that concluded when the suspects crashed in Kent.
Kent Police officers set up containment in the area, while an Auburn Police K9 unit tracked down three suspects hiding beneath a boardwalk near the crash site.
Officers also recovered four loaded firearms, including two with suspected illegal conversion switches attached.
“Thank you to the officers from Kent, Auburn, and Tukwila who assisted in catching the suspects and great work by your officers catching these criminals before they could cause harm in our community,” police said.
No injuries were reported.
