The Mount Rainier High School football program is seeking community support from local businesses and residents to help fund equipment, training resources and other needs for its student athletes.

In a letter released this week, head coach Quincy Carter invited community partners to invest in the team and its players as they prepare for upcoming seasons.

“Our student athletes are devoting countless hours into their craft to represent our school and community the right way discipline, toughness, and pride,” Carter wrote in the letter.

Carter said the program is looking for businesses and supporters willing to contribute to the team. Donations would help provide equipment, uniforms, training resources and team camp funds, as well as improve the overall experience for players.

“When you support Mount Rainier Football, you’re not just donating to a team, you’re investing in young men, leadership, and our community,” Carter wrote.

Mount Rainier High School is located at 22450 19th Ave S. in Des Moines.

Carter encouraged businesses interested in partnering with the program to contact him directly at quincy.carter@highlineschools.org.
