A juried exhibition celebrating marine animals and supporting the work of SR3 will open Saturday, July 25, at Inkfish Gallery in Des Moines, with organizers also inviting artists to submit original works for the show.

According to event information provided by Inkfish Gallery, the all media exhibition, titled “Celebrating SR3: An Exhibition of Marine Animal Art,” will hold its opening reception from 1 to 4 p.m. at Inkfish Gallery, 22220 Seventh Ave South (map below).

The event is sponsored by the Des Moines Legacy Foundation and the Inkfish Foundation.

Call For Artists

Artists interested in participating must submit a JPEG image of their artwork to Fred Andrews at galleryfred@comcast.net by July 10. Submissions must include the artwork’s title, size, price and medium.

Selected artwork must be framed and delivered to Inkfish Gallery before the exhibition opens. Organizers said all artwork included in the show must be offered for sale, with 50% of each sale benefiting SR3.

The exhibition will feature artwork depicting marine animals in a variety of media as a tribute to SR3 and its work.
