The Burien Police Department, in collaboration with King County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team (SET) Detectives, on Monday, July 15, 2024 executed a narcotics search warrant at a home in Des Moines, seizing narcotics worth an estimated $2.49 million dollars.
This bust – done at an unoccupied residence at the 21600 block of 29th Ave S. in Des Moines (map below) – was part of a larger investigation targeting a narcotics distribution network operating across King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties.
Assistance from K9 units Quinn and Fury led to the discovery and seizure of a significant amount of illegal substances and other items, including:
- 45.5 pounds of methamphetamine
- 42.2 pounds of fentanyl powder
- 35,850 M-30 fentanyl pills
- 8.9 pounds of heroin
- 3,149 Xanax bars
- $46,241 in cash
- 1 firearm
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat the distribution of dangerous narcotics in the region.
