The City of Des Moines will host a budget town hall on Tuesday, Aug. 18 to gather public input on where the city should invest over the next two years.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 18, at the Activity Center (map below), according to the city. The event is intended to give residents a chance to share priorities for city spending, including roads, parks and public safety.

“This is genuinely your chance to shape where the City invests over the next two years,” the city said.

The city describes the event as “Your Voice. Our Future.” and includes information in English and Spanish. Snacks will be provided.

The town hall is open to community members who want to weigh in on the city budget and future investments in Des Moines.
