The Des Moines Legacy Foundation’s annual Sports Night tailgate, casino night, dinner and auction to fund recreation experiences for Des Moines low income youth will be Saturday, March 23 from 6 – 11 p.m.. Tickets are $50 per person, or $375 per table. The annual fundraiser will be held at the Des Moines Fieldhouse, located at 1000 S. 220th Street. Recreation scholarships allow children that could not otherwise afford to enroll, play basketball, soccer, softball or join in pre-school, after school, dance and day camp activities. This keeps our children engaged in positive, healthy, life enhancing activities that build character and self esteem. Please help Des Moines kids through your attendance and pass it on to others that may enjoy the event! The night is fun and there is sports memorabilia (such as signed footballs, baseballs, jerseys, etc.) and good food! Oh and by the way, it’s fun! DMLF is a volunteer organization and 100% of the proceeds go back into the Des Moines community! The Legacy Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports the City of Des Moines Parks, Recreation and Senior Services. Call the recreation office at 206-870-6527 to purchase tickets or sign up to help. More info at http://www.desmoineslegacy.org/sports-night.php]]>
