Are you passionate about Seattle and the Northwest? Are you energetic, friendly and excited to welcome cruise ship guests as their “First Impression” of the “Emerald City”? Then you might just be the perfect fit to fill one of the 150 seasonal positions for which Intercruises Shoreside and Port Services is hiring. They will be conducting Job Fairs on multiple dates in March starting today – Thursday, March 7 – throughout the month of March – see the full list here. This global leader in the cruise industry is the third party staffer for most major cruise lines visiting Seattle. Cruise lines typically hire local representatives to welcome their guests at the airport and dockside. Greeters assist cruise guests making their transportation connections to the ships and hotels from flights arriving from all over the world. In addition, they help at the pier with check-in services and are the last face of Seattle as returning guests make their way back home. These fun jobs attract applicants of all ages with particularly successful candidates often being college students, soccer moms and retired business professionals – even CEO’s, who love Seattle and enjoy sharing Northwest hospitality with the cruising community from all over the world. Candidates must be clean-cut with very high image standards and available to commit to schedules which run Friday and/or Saturdays and Sundays from May through September 2013. As a global leader, Intercruises is also leading the way as one of the first in their industry to offer health benefits to their seasonal employees, and what’s more, if an employee stays throughout the entire season they can keep their benefits until the next season starts-up. The Port of Seattle is #3 in the U.S. for Cruise traffic, with an impressive array of cruise lines moving in and out of the facilities. Of particular note this season, will be an inaugural welcoming of “The Solstice”, the ultra luxurious ship at the pinnacle of the Celebrity cruise lines portfolio. This massive and ground-breaking vessel boasts unique features found on no other line, according to Jason DeLeo of Intercruises. The ship even includes an on-board glass-blowing studio and bocce courts outfitted with live grass. If you would like to be part of this exciting season, don’t wait! Attend an upcoming Job Fair and find out if you have what it takes to become an “Ambassador of Seattle.” Intercruises is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
