Des Moines United Methodist Church will be holding two Christmas services:
- Friday, Dec. 21, 7 p.m.: Longest night service. For some, Christmas is not a wonderful time, it is filled with sadness & depression. There is a need for a space to not be forced to be jolly. The Longest Night Service is that place…a service of music, readings, prayers and candle lighting. It is open to everyone no matter the circumstance.
- Monday, Dec. 24, 9 p.m.: Celtic Christmas Service. Gather to the call of the pipes as we celebrate complete with prayers and litanies from Scotland, Ireland and Wales, carols, and of course, candle light.
