The City of Des Moines has announced updated parking rates for the Marina and Beach Park for 2025, ensuring visitors have the information they need to plan their trips.
Parking lot hours remain from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., and visitors are reminded that all lots close promptly at 10 p.m.
Vehicles without a valid overnight Marina-issued permit must be off-site by closing time to avoid penalties.
2025 Marina and Beach Park Parking Rates
Annual Parking Access Fees
Available for purchase at the Marina Office.
- Des Moines Resident Frequent User Pass – $40/ calendar year.
Residents will have access to the North, South, and Beach Park lots between 5 a.m.-10 p.m. daily (access devices will NOT work after 10 p.m., no overnight parking permitted).
Valid proof of residency and matching drivers license required to purchase.
Limit: One pass per valid drivers license.
Optional: Vehicle Registration for license plate reader access. Registration must be registered to pass holder. - Non-Resident Frequent User Pass – $100/ calendar year.
Non-residents will have access to the North, South, and Beach Park lots between 5 a.m.-10 p.m. daily (access devices will NOT work after 10 p.m., no overnight parking permitted).
Valid drivers license required to purchase.
Limit: One pass per valid drivers license.
Optional: Vehicle Registration for license plate reader access. Registration must be registered to pass holder. - Overnight Fishing Pier Pass – $25/ quarter or $100/ year
These passes have 24 hour access to the North lot only. Valid fishing license and drivers license all in the purchasers name required. (1) PASS PER VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. - Anthony’s Homeport – Will validate their customers. Take a ticket from the machine and bring it with you to be validated inside the restaurant by their staff.
FREQUENT USER CARD HOLDERS: If you plan on visiting Anthony’s after the parking lot closes at 10 p.m. take a ticket. Your Frequent User card WILL NOT let you out after 10 p.m. but Anthony’s will validate your ticket. - Methods of payment accepted to purchase Frequent User pass: Visa/MasterCard/ApplePay/Check.
- Disabled parking is free in the designated spaces available outside of the paid lot.
