Grocery Outlet, a discount grocery chain known for offering name-brand products at reduced prices, is set to open a new location in the Normandy Park Towne Center.

This new store will occupy the space previously held by the Normandy Park Market, a more upscale grocery that has been closed since 2019.

The store, located at 19805 1st Avenue South, Suite 100, is scheduled to open its doors in August, according to the company’s website.

The Normandy Park Towne Center includes health, beauty, dining, and hardware businesses, and will now feature Grocery Outlet as a key tenant, enhancing the shopping options available to the community.

Grocery Outlet operates over 400 locations across the United States – including one in Burien – each independently owned and operated. The company specializes in providing significant discounts on groceries and fresh produce, often ranging from 40-70% less than conventional grocery stores.
