Effective this Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, all youth aged 0-18 will have the opportunity to swim for free at the Mount Rainier Pool, thanks to a generous $10,000 grant from King County Parks’ “Get Active, Stay Active” initiative.

This funding was allocated by former County Councilmember Dave Upthegrove to promote healthy activities among the community’s youth.

The free daily admissions will be available from Feb. 1 until the grant is fully utilized, or until the end of summer.

This initiative is open to all youth, including non-residents, and provides access to family and open swims, lap swims, water walking, special events, and water exercise. However, please note that the grant does not cover swim lessons, swim teams, or private rentals.

To participate, youth ages 15 and older may need to present personal identification. Families with a current Family Pass can receive accommodations by emailing info@mtrainierpool.com for more information.

As a part of the grant tracking process, users will be required to provide their address, phone number, and other account details for verification. If any participant prefers not to share this information, they have the option to pay the standard daily entry fees. Please note that adults will still need to pay daily entry fees.

For more details, you can visit our fees/rates page or check our schedule page at MtRainierPool.com for upcoming events.

Website Can Now Translate

The Mount Rainier Pool website is now equipped with Google Translate, enabling translation for both the website and our registration portal. This feature allows users to register for various programs, including swim lessons, water exercise classes, and events, as well as purchase 10-visit, monthly, and annual passes.

Please note that when you click the registration button on the main page, the registration portal will open as a separate website. To translate the registration portal, you will need to click the button located at the bottom right corner.

We hope this improvement helps parents who do not speak English feel more confident when registering their children for swim lessons.
