Paving and sidewalk upgrades will continue along northbound and southbound State Route 99 starting this Friday night, June 20, requiring another week of overnight lane closures in SeaTac and Des Moines.
Closure Details
The following closures are planned from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Friday, June 20, until Friday morning, June 27:
- Single- and double-lane closures on northbound and southbound SR 99 between South 208th Street in SeaTac and SR 516 in Des Moines.
- At least one travel lane will remain open through the work zone.
South 220th Street in Des Moines also will close at the intersection with southbound SR 99 from 10 p.m. Friday, June 20, until 6 p.m. Saturday, June 21, for sidewalk upgrades. A signed detour will guide people around the work zone.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation are repaving nearly two miles of SR 99 between South 200th Street in SeaTac and SR 516 in Des Moines. Crews also have upgraded more than 30 sidewalk ramps along this corridor to modern Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
