Two people have been arrested in connection with the Sept. 20 shooting death of Abraham Logan in Des Moines, according to the Des Moines Police Department.

Both were booked for investigation of homicide and weapons charges, police said. The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office will review the case and decide whether to file formal charges. Police said they will withhold the suspects’ names until charges are filed.

As we previously reported, officers responded about 1:55 a.m. Sept. 20 to a shooting in the 22300 block of Marine View Drive South. Logan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victim as 31-year-old Abraham D. Ferrell Logan.

Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit collected evidence, conducted interviews and obtained search warrants to identify the suspects, police said. They then worked with the U.S. Marshals Service, Washington State Department of Corrections and Valley SWAT to locate and arrest both people.

“We recognize the loss Abraham’s family and friends continue to face and hope these arrests provide some measure of comfort as the case moves forward,” the department said om a statement.
