On Tuesday night, Aug. 27, 2024, the City of Des Moines held a public “Meet & Greet” with the four finalists vying to be its next City Manager at the Des Moines Beach Park Event Center.

Emceed by Executive Administrative Analyst Rochelle Caton, finalists introduced themselves to the packed house, then talked about what they consider to be the biggest issues facing the city, as well as how they would address them if they got the job.

The candidates also interacted in small groups with members of the crowd both before and after their speeches.

The city is encouraging residents to review candidate profiles and submit their thoughts via a comment card available on its website. Feedback cards were distributed and collected at this event, but you can still participate.
