You can really tell that the year is winding down and the weather affects vendor’s participation – we had several that were scheduled; but couldn’t make it. There still are some of my cookbooks left. I have combined all my cooking with wine recipes, along with “how to cook with wine” guide in one neat little booklet that will make a great Christmas gift for $5.00. Also a great gift would be our market logo wear. You can order them at the information booth and they will be delivered to you in one week. All proceeds go towards the market Endowment Fund Food Truck Scene Some old favorites are back this week on the food truck scene: Skinny Phoenix, Jemil’s Big Easy Cajun and Stella Fiore Wood Fired Pizza. Volunteer Group Mount Rainer High School Soccer Club will be helping to set up the market and will have a bake sale fund raiser at their booth. Also, the football team will be manning their booth with a fund raiser. Community Groups Back once again is the kid’s all-time favorite Highline MaST Center with their touchy-feely tanks filled with wild creatures from Puget Sound waters. Also back are King County Master Recycler Composters who have provided King County residents with waste prevention and recycling information and tips they can use in their everyday lives. Through a variety of outreach venues, these volunteers donate invaluable time encouraging residents to make informed decisions about preventing waste and using resources wisely. Music Flannel Asparagus is the music again this week. Season Ending Annual Event The 7th annual Chili Cook-Off is on the last day of the market, October 26th. There are still a couple of slots left, click here for the app and cook-off rules.]]>
