Last Saturday saw lots more shoppers than in previous weeks and I think the nice weather had a lot to do with it. Most vendors had a good sales day, including our market wines. The new Waterfront Red blend continues with strong sales. Don’t forget to pick some up for your Thanksgiving table and Christmas gifts. It was also a pleasure for the market to present two checks to the Art Commission as a result of our Sunset Markets in July and August. The first check was shared profits from our food truck sales. The second was from Marine View Massage & Aruba J Mind Body Wellness Center. They gave free masseges for donations to the Commission. [caption id="attachment_56747" align="aligncenter" width="490"] On hand for the presentation was from left: Des Moines Mayor Dave Kaplan, Mayor Pro-Tem Matt Pina and Councilmember Jeremy Nutting, Art Commission President Jean Munro, Market President Wayne Corey, Market Manager Rikki Marohl and Councilmember Vic Pennington.[/caption] Winter is on it’s way, better pick up your Hoody.
