Another beautiful sunny day at the Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market greeted shoppers and Food Truckee’s. And, did you see all the kids (and adults) enjoying the Hot Wheels? There’s only two more days of the market left. If you are a home canner, now is the time to stock up on all the fresh fruits and vegetables, maybe even some second crop raspberries and strawberries. With market season coming to an end, it might be a good idea to think about stocking up on market wines for holiday parties or as gifts from Santa. To help with easing of your pocket book, we are having a year-end sale on the purchase of 6 bottles or more mix of the Red Blend or the Riesling. This price of $11 a bottle, is normally $15, the sale will last to the end of the season on September 24th. All proceeds go into the Market Foundation. Food Trucks – Charlie’s Buns N Stuff, Nibbles, NOSH, Sweet Bumpas & Wicked Pies Market Sponsors – BECU Music – Boomerang Seniors, there is only one more chance to use the free shuttle service, on Saturday the 24th. The King Conservation District, with partner Sound Generations, are offering the HYDE Shuttle providing local door to door transportation to and from the market for seniors 55 and older and people with disabilities of all ages living in Des Moines, Normandy Park, Burien and Sea-Tac.
