Inkfish Gallery will host “Landscapes,” a free group exhibition featuring paintings, drawings, photography and other artwork from 2–5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at its gallery in Des Moines.
The exhibition will explore landscapes in a variety of forms, including traditional, contemporary, abstract and imaginative interpretations of places and environments, according to Inkfish Gallery.
Artwork may depict a familiar view, an imagined landscape or a personal interpretation of the natural world. The exhibition is intended to celebrate the many ways artists experience and represent landscapes.
Ron Peters, a world-renowned jazz guitarist, will perform during the event, Inkfish Gallery said.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Des Moines Legacy Foundation and Inkfish Foundation and funded by 4Culture of King County.
It is free and open to the public.
