From Advertiser ‘Choose Patricio’: [fbvideo link=”https://www.facebook.com/ChoosePatricio/videos/279729609147647/” width=”500″ height=”400″ onlyvideo=”1″] I am a hardworking, non-political family man and entrepreneur who immigrated to Des Moines from Chile in 1991. As the owner of a successful computer technology business, I have been volunteering with small business and government relations for the past 25 years. I am a passionate advocate for the City of Des Moines, small business and supportive of building cultural relationships. As a board member of 4Culture and member of the Rotary Club, my passion is serving the community I love. I want to help Des Moines be a safe and healthy haven for families and businesses. Building our economic base is the key to our success. With prosperity, more resources will become available for the police, public works, parks, etc. which all support a better place to live. Safety, family, and prosperity for Des Moines are what we can achieve if we work together. I would appreciate your support and vote for me. Thank you, Patricio

one has to wonder why this ad was placed just 4 days before the election. would have done a lot more good if done 2-3 or even 4 weeks ago.
either way patricio was a good candidate and i hope he runs again in the future.
Hi, Michelle. Methinks that people are paying more attention to their crab pots and thermometer than they are local elections – look at the dismal King County turnout! I agree that Patricio is a great candidate and he and his family have contributed at every level to the betterment of Des Moines – I remember him always at Des Moines PTSA meetings and offering his services to the elementary, middle and high schools. He also ran a one-man collection agency after the tsunami wiped out parts of the Chilean coast years ago – always sees a need and works to fill it. Great person, great personality – I hope he’ll consider running again in two years when other seats are up, as his will be a valued voice on our council.
