I was honored to have a small part in the Dollars for Scholars presentation. I want to thank the Waterland Blog for reporting on this great community event. Frequently we are saturated on what almost seems a daily basis about the terrible and tragic events some of our youth get involved with.
It is so refreshing, especially in my line of work, to be reminded, the vast majority of our youth are fantastic achievers and capable of accomplishing some amazing things. I can share with the community after witnessing the awards presentation last night our future will be in some very talented hands. Best of luck and congratulations to all the soon to be graduates! Many thanks to Michael for taking all the pictures. The Waterland Blog is much appreciated in reporting on the reception each year. These students all deserve the recognition!
Thank you for Scott and Michael for reporting on the fabulous evening at the Des Moines Yacht Club honoring twelve bright students who deserve the scholarships they received last night. Des Moines Dollars for Scholars along with the businesses, non-profits and Des Moines community continues to invest in education. I’m proud to serve as President of this organization.
These students are amazing people who are working hard to obtain their education and contribute to their communities and the world. We can all be proud of them.
Thanks Waterland Blog for reporting this good news!
